Four killed in police station blast
At least four people were killed today when a pick-up truck laden with explosives attacked a police station in north west Pakistan.
The massive explosion caused a wide swathe of destruction in the town of Badh Ber, near Peshawar, severely damaging the police station and a nearby mosque in an area that has become the focal point for militant retaliation against a recent army offensive.
Police opened fire on the pick-up truck as it approached a checkpoint in front of the police station, but the driver was able to detonate his explosives.
Sahib Gul, a doctor at a hospital in Peshawar where the dead and injured were taken, said the attack killed four people and wounded 30 others.
