Pakistan: Police among dead as suicide bomber kills three

Police say a suicide bomber has killed three people including a police constable in Pakistan’s main north-west city of Peshawar today.

Officials say five other people were wounded in the blast at Pathang intersection on the ring road around the city. Television footage showed a destroyed rickshaw surrounded by security officials.

No group immediately claimed responsibility, but Islamist militants have staged numerous attacks in Pakistan over the past five weeks, killing some 300 people.
