The United Nations' most powerful body will meet next week to discuss a report that accused both Israeli forces and Palestinian militants of war crimes and possible crimes against humanity in Gaza.

The Geneva-based Human Rights Council backed the report by an expert panel chaired by South African judge Richard Goldstone on October 16 and recommended that the UN General Assembly take it up during the current session.
