Pakistani forces advance into Taliban heartland

Pakistani soldiers gained ground today as their offensive moved into the home city of Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud.

Troops had secured parts of Kotkai and destroyed Mehsud’s house, but battles were continuing.
