US Air Force teams were searching for an F16 fighter pilot today after two fighter jets collided off the coast of South Carolina.

Senior Master Sgt Brad Fallin at Shaw Air Force Base said the planes collided at around 8.30pm local time, about 40 miles off Folly Beach, near Charleston, during night training exercises.
