President defiant as 26 die in Pakistan attacks

Pakistan's president said his government would not be deterred from eliminating extremists, despite a wave of attacks today which left at least 26 people dead in Lahore.

Teams of gunmen attacked three security sites in the eastern Pakistani city, while a suicide bomber hit a north-western town.
