Suicide pact survivor facing murder probe

A leading British geologist was arrested on suspicion of his wife’s murder after he survived a suicide pact between the devoted couple, his family said today.

Terminally-ill Dr William Stanton, 79, and his wife Angela, 74, who cared for him, made the decision to die together after 52 years of marriage rather then face life apart.
