Finance ministers from the Group of Seven rich countries warned the global recovery remained “fragile” and tried to talk up the US dollar amid fears it could fall further and disrupt the global economy.

The officials said in their closing statement after meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, that decisive moves by governments had improved conditions for the world economy and financial markets.
