Five US soldiers killed in Afghan attacks

Five US soldiers have died in attacks in southern Afghanistan amid increased operations against the Taliban.

Three soldiers were killed in a roadside bombing, one was shot by insurgents and the fifth died in a separate attack while on patrol.
