Tourists warned of 'al-Qaida threats against Germany'

British tourists were warned today of a "general threat" of terrorism against Germany ahead of elections in the country.

The British Foreign Office said a video message - claimed to have been made by al-Qaida - had been released urging Germans not to re-elect its government and to remove its troops from Afghanistan.
