Obama moves into diplomatic overdrive

President Barack Obama’s Middle East summit today is being treated as a crucial bout of international diplomacy, even though noone is predicting any kind of breakthrough.

Neither the White House, the Israeli government or Palestinian officials are expecting much from the three-way meeting in New York.
