Congressman's son disputes racism claim

The son of a US politician has dismissed a claim by former US President Jimmy Carter that an outburst during a speech by Barack Obama was "based on racism".

Mr Carter said yesterday Congressman Joe Wilson's outburst was also rooted in fears of a black president.
