Police investigating prostitute deaths search home of Dugard kidnapper

Forensic experts were tonight searching the home of Jaycee Lee Dugard kidnapper Phillip Garrido for evidence relating to the murders of several prostitutes.

Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department Captain Daniel Terry said officers obtained a search warrant for the Antioch property where Ms Dugard was allegedly held for almost two decades.

Several of the bodies in the unsolved prostitute murders were dumped near an industrial park where Mr Garrido worked during the 1990s.

Both he and his wife were charged today with kidnapping Ms Dugard in 1991.
