Swine flu hits Amazon tribe

Peruvian health officials said eight Amazon Indians of the Machiguenga tribe tested positive for swine flu and are recovering.

Fernando Perez, director of Cuzco province’s sanitary intelligence department, said the swine flu cases were detected three weeks ago.
