Spanish media said a small bomb exploded in a restaurant on the island of Majorca today after a telephone warning from ETA.

The attack was staged just hours after ETA published a statement claiming responsibility for four other bombings that killed three people and injured dozens this summer.

Newspaper El Pais said today’s blast left no one injured, as the restaurant was evacuated after a taxi company in the Basque region had received warnings in two phone calls from a person claiming to represent the Basque separatist group.
