Remains of missing US pilot found 18 years on

The remains of the first American lost in the Gulf War nearly two decades ago have been found in Iraq, the US military said today.

The Pentagon said the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology had positively identified the remains of Navy Captain Michael "Scott" Speicher, which were found buried in the desert and located after officials received new information from an Iraqi citizen about a crash.
