A teenager and a 25-year-old were appearing in a London court today charged with trying to kill a man by pouring acid down his throat.

The 24-year-old victim, believed to be Danish, was left fighting for life after being attacked with sulphuric acid and stabbed twice in the back in Marchant Road, Leytonstone, east London, on July 2.
