A Jordanian military court has convicted one of its citizens of stabbing a German tourist last year in what the government described as a “terrorist act”.

Mohammed Mahdi Barham was also sentenced to 15 years for stabbing a 63-year-old tourist with a knife as the man walked in the capital Amman with his wife on March 14, 2008.
