Guantanamo suspect denies embassy bombings
The first Guantanamo Bay detainee to be taken to the United States for trial pleaded not guilty to two embassy bombings.
Ahmed Ghailani entered the plea in federal court in Manhattan last night.
He had been brought to the United States under heavy guard earlier in the day.
Ghailani is charged with participating in the bombing of two US embassies in Africa in August 1998. The bombings killed more than 224 people, including 12 Americans.
Authorities say he helped build one of the bombs.
