Nepal parliament poised to vote on new govt

Nepal’s parliament speaker said communists have agreed to stop blocking parliamentary proceedings so that politicians can choose a new government.

However, parliamentarians from the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) said although they agreed to lift their protests for today, they would permanently end them only on condition that the chamber take up a motion censuring President Ram Baran Yadav.
