Swine flu cases top 10,000 mark

The amount of cases of swine flu worldwide passed 10,000 today as health chiefs from around the globe continued discussions on how best to fight the disease.

The World Health Organisation said 10,243 people were infected with swine flu, with 80 deaths, mostly in Mexico.
