'Nazi guard' arrives in Germany

A suspected Nazi death camp guard arrived in Germany today, facing a warrant accusing him of being accessory to the murder of 29,000 Jews and others at Sobibor.

Retired Ohio auto worker John Demjanjuk was deported from the United States and arrived on a private jet at Munich airport.

Ukrainian-born Demjanjuk says he was a Red Army soldier who was captured by the Nazis and spent the rest of the war as their prisoner.

But prosecutors say there is proof he was a guard at the Sobibor death camp in occupied Poland.

The 89-year-old will be brought before a judge and formally arrested.

He also has to undergo a medical evaluation to see if he is fit to stand trial.
