Man denies robbery in company of daughter, 9
A US man pleaded not guilty to robbing a convenience store with his nine-year-old daughter by his side.
Surveillance video of the March 31 holdup near Ellensburg, Washington state, showed a girl in a pink coat watching as a robber pulled a gun and took about $200 (€154.62) from the clerk.
Robert Daniel Webb of Everett was arrested on April 4 and is being held on $500,000 (€386,541) bail.
The 42-year-old Webb entered not guilty pleas to robbery and reckless endangerment.
On the video, he tries to explain himself: "I'm out of work. My daughter's got to survive."
The clerk told a TV station that the man was on the verge of tears and said his daughter needed medical care.
She is now with her mother.
