Thousands of people attended the opening of a £30m (€34m) Holocaust museum in a Chicago suburb which became famous for an aborted march by neo-Nazis.

The 65,000 sq-ft Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Centre in Skokie is considered the largest of its kind in the Midwest and features 2,000 survivor testimonies, most of them from nearby residents.
