UN fears fresh rows at anti-racism conference

The United Nations fears next week’s anti-racism conference may descend again into heated debate over Israel that marred the last gathering eight years ago.

Already, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – who has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and denied the Holocaust – plans to speak on Monday as the conference opens.
