A little-known group claiming responsibility for the attack on a police academy threatened more outrages today unless Pakistani troops left tribal areas near the Afghan border and America stopped drone attacks against militants.

Omar Farooq, who said he was the spokesman for Fedayeen al-Islam, also said the group carried out a similar commando-style attack against the Sri Lanka cricket team earlier this month in Lahore – the same city where a group of gunmen attacked the police academy yesterday, killing at least six trainee officers.
