Witness contradicts Knox testimony

A US student on trial for allegedly murdering her British roommate in Italy was up early the next day, despite telling police she slept in to mid-morning, a witness testified today.

The witness, who has not been named, said the accused, Amanda Knox, was in a grocery shop early on the day following the murder of Leeds University student Meredith Kercher.
