Opposition chief takes refuge in embassy

The United Nations said Madagascar’s opposition leader has taken refuge in the French Embassy.

Opposition leader Andry Rajoelina, a former mayor of the capital city Antananarivo, is locked in a power struggle with President Marc Ravalomanana but went into hiding last week, saying he feared arrest.
