Obama promises honest accounting in outlining budget

US President Barack Obama promised “honest” accounting today as he outlined a budget aimed at transforming America’s healthcare system.

In his first spending blueprint, the president announced that some $634bn (€496bn) would be pumped into health over the next 10 years.
