Funeral date for baby killed by dogs

The funeral of a baby boy mauled to death by two dogs in Wales as his grandmother slept will take place next week.

Three-month-old Jaden Mack was staying with his grandmother at her home in Ystrad Mynach, South Wales, when he was attacked two weeks ago.

He was snatched from a dining room table by a Staffordshire bull terrier and Jack Russell.

When his grandmother, named locally as Denise Wilson, awoke, it was too late to save him.

Announcing his funeral, Jaden’s parents Alexandra and Christopher said: “Our precious little man will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.”

They asked for donations to the British Heart Foundation instead of flowers.

Jaden’s funeral will be held at St Martin’s Church, Caerphilly, on Thursday afternoon, followed by his burial.

An inquest into Jaden’s death has been opened and adjourned.
