Obama: Tax cuts will be felt within weeks

Americans will start reaping the benefits of a $787bn (€613bn) economic stimulus package in a matter of weeks, President Barack Obama vowed today.

“Never before in our history has a tax cut taken effect faster or gone to so many hardworking Americans,” Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address today.
