Stanford affair sparks US political row

The US government has questions to answer over an alleged multi-billion dollar fraud by cricket entrepreneur Allen Stanford, a Democrat Congressman said today.

Dennis Kucinich, chairman of the Domestic Policy Subcommittee in the House of Representatives, said he believed Stanford had been under investigation for at least two years.
