Taliban announce ceasefire in Swat Valley

The Taliban today announced it will adhere to a 10-day ceasefire in Pakistan’s Swat Valley during peace talks with the government.

The announcement by Muslim Khan comes a day after the Taliban in Swat freed a Chinese engineer held captive for nearly six months.
