Australian fire survivors return to ruined towns

Survivors from Australian towns razed by the worst wildfires in the country’s history returned to their homes for the first time today to be confronted by utter devastation.

Police sealed off some areas because they were still collecting bodies from collapsed buildings and they wanted to prevent people from disturbing potential crime scenes.
