Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai will become prime minister tomorrow as part of a power-sharing agreement with president Robert Mugabe the country hopes will help solve its growing crisis.

But quick solutions seem unlikely given the enormity of Zimbabwe’s problems and the legacy of a long, bloody rivalry between Mr Tsvangirai and Mugabe.
