Eruption predicted as volcano rumbles in Alaska

Mount Redoubt in southern Alaska is puffing steam and emitting volcanic gases but still hasn’t erupted.

Vulcanologist Dave Schneider at the Alaska Volcano Observatory said winds and humidity made the steam more visible. The plume extended several hundred feet above the crater.
