Arson 'caused Australian wildfires'

Arsonists were suspected of starting some of the wildfires that destroyed 30 homes in south-eastern Australia, police said today.

Cooler weather, even some rain, today helped hundreds of firefighters in Victoria state get on top of fires that flared last week during one of the longest and most intense heatwaves on record.
