Gang member James Yates was jailed for seven years today for his part in helping teenage gunman Sean Mercer evade justice after shooting schoolboy Rhys Jones in Liverpool, England.

Rhys (aged 11) was murdered by Mercer in Croxteth, Liverpool, in August 2007.
