Nigerian football teammates die in bus accident

A bus carrying a Nigerian football team has collided with a vehicle transporting cattle in Nigeria, sending the vehicles tumbling into a roadside ditch and killing 15 sportsmen, police said today.

Plateau State police spokesman Saidu Ibrahim said 12 players and three coaches died instantly in this afternoon’s crash on the road connecting the Nigerian capital of Abuja with a regional city.
