Yachtsman shot dead in Antigua
A yacht skipper has been shot dead on the Caribbean island of Antigua.
Police said the Australian was shot in the chest yesterday in a dockyard area near English Harbour. No arrests have been made.
Locals said Drew Gollan, captain of the 163-foot sailing yacht Perseus is the latest member of the island’s affluent yacht community to become the target of criminals.
Last July British honeymoon couple Catherine and Benjamin Mullany, from Pontardawe, South Wales were shot dead in their holiday bungalow in Antigua. Two men have been charged with their murders.
