One dead in Norway school shooting
One adult was killed and another injured in a shooting in the car park of a school in northern Norway today.
The shooting happened in Tromsoe and the condition of the injured person was not immediately clear.
Police spokesman Kurt Pettersen said the motive for the shooting was not known but it was reported that no children were hurt.
The shooting happened at the Slettaelva school in Tromsoe.
Police spokesman Torstein Lindquister said: “Two adults are involved and both are shot. One person has been confirmed killed, and one seriously injured has been taken to hospital here in Tromsoe.”
He said the victims were a man and a woman, but it was not immediately clear which one of them had died.
Mr Lindquister said preliminary information suggested that one of the people shot was the shooter.
