No gas flowing despite weekend deal

Not a drop of Russian gas was flowing to the EU today, despite a weekend deal between Russia and Ukraine, according to the European Commission.

Amid growing frustration at the continued lack of supplies and the worsening energy shortages in a handful of EU countries, the Commission urged the immediate reopening of the gas taps.
