Kremlin gas conference fails to agree supply deal

Russia’s president has indicated that an international meeting has brought no agreement to restore supplies of Russian natural gas to Europe via Ukraine.

Dmitry Medvedev said the prime ministers of Russia and Ukraine will continue bilateral talks to end the dispute that has blocked shipments across Ukraine. He said he hopes gas will begin flowing again within days.
