Israel halts Gaza attacks for three hours

Israel will halt its fire in Gaza for three hours to allow the territory’s besieged residents to stock up, the country’s military said today.

The lull in fire will also allow aid groups to provide food to residents, spokesman Peter Lerner said. Medics will also use the time to pick up casualties in areas of fighting.
