Air crash suspends UK rail services
Rail travellers in the UK faced long delays as services were suspended following a light aircraft crash today.
Two people were killed when a single propeller aircraft came down in Staffordshire, hitting power lines above the West Coast Mainline between Rugeley and Stafford shortly before midday.
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said debris from the aircraft had fallen on the tracks and officers were at the scene.
Rail operators said delays would likely continue into the weekend.
