Warplanes pound Gaza for third day

Israeli airstrikes continued to batter the Gaza strip for a third day today with government buildings coming under fire for the first time.

Air force jets bombed the Hamas-run interior ministry as part of Israel’s attempts to stop Gaza’s ruling body from launching rocket attacks.
