Missing nurse found in car boot
A nurse found alive in the boot of her car after having been missing for 11 days was “severely traumatised” police in Scotland said today.
Magdeline Makola was discovered inside her own Vauxhall Astra car in Airdrie, north Lanarkshire, yesterday afternoon.
Detectives have interviewed the South African-born heart nurse from her bed at Monklands Hospital in Lanarkshire and are understood to be looking for a man in connection with her disappearance.
Police say she knew the suspect.
An appeal for information was launched, but the circumstances surrounding how Ms Makola came to be in the car and how long she was in the vehicle remain unclear.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: “She is severely traumatised.”
