Explosion kills 13 in central China
An explosion in central China’s Henan province killed 13 people and injured five others.
The blast, at about 1am, happened in Donggancheng village in north-east Henan, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
An initial investigation showed explosives intended for civilian use went off, Xinhua said. The agency said the explosives were stored illegally at a home when they ignited, destroying more than 10 neighbouring houses.
