100 firefighters tackle three Edinburgh blazes

Around 100 firefighters were involved in tackling three late-night blazes in Edinburgh which broke out in the space of little over an hour.

Two major fires brought the centre of the Scottish city to a standstill and hundreds of people were evacuated from clubs, bars and flats. Later firefighters were called out to a fire at a sheltered housing complex in a city suburb.
