Two thousand people have been evacuated from their homes and offices after a huge, unexploded Second World War bomb was found in the centre of the Polish city of Wroclaw.

Wroclaw police spokesman Krzysztof Zaporowski says residents, nursery children and town hall employees had been evacuated from buildings to allow explosive experts to dig out the 1-ton bomb and take it to a testing range to be detonated.
